Critical Shifts:
-
Rapid Nationwide Aggregation: This marks America’s Auto Auction's seventh acquisition this year, highlighting an aggressive consolidation strategy in the wholesale remarketing space. This follows recent expansions including Dealers Auto Auction of Phoenix and two international sites.
-
Operational Continuity Over Overhaul: Rather than replacing local management, the group is keeping the existing team, schedules, and service models intact to preserve the auction's strong regional dealer loyalty.
-
High-Volume Regional Footprint: By absorbing a facility that consigned over 49,000 vehicles last year, America’s Auto Auction instantly secures a dominant, high-volume strong-hold in the Rocky Mountain regional marketplace.

America’s Auto Auction announced the acquisition of Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies, a cornerstone of the Colorado automotive community since 1995. The move marks the company’s first location in the state and represents a significant step forward in its nationwide growth strategy.
Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies is America’s Auto Auction’s seventh acquisition this year, following the addition of Dealers Auto Auction of Phoenix, Denver’s sister auction, as well as two international acquisitions, underscoring the company’s accelerating expansion and growing market presence.
For more than three decades, Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies has built its reputation on a philosophy that set it apart in the industry: treating customers as partners.
“This acquisition represents a meaningful step forward in our mission to build the most dealer-focused auction network in the country,” said Chuck Tapp, CEO of America’s Auto Auction. “Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies has long been recognized for its commitment to service and strong relationships.”
Following the acquisition, the auction will operate under the name America’s Auto Auction Denver, entering a new phase while maintaining the core elements that defined its success. Dealers can expect continuity across operations, including the same experienced team, leadership, and service model that have supported the region for years under the ownership of Yolanda Farwell, Brandon Fox, and Chris Richards.
“We are proud to expand our footprint into Colorado with such a respected partner,” Tapp added. “By bringing this team into our organization, we’re able to combine their local expertise with the scale and capabilities of our national network to deliver even greater value to our customers.”
The Denver location will continue to host its weekly Thursday sale at 9:00 a.m. across six lanes. With more than 49,000 vehicles consigned last year, the auction is a leading presence in the regional marketplace and a key contributor to the automotive remarketing ecosystem.
